Marat teaching MARAT DAUKAYEV SCHOOL OF BALLET SUMMER INTENSIVE - July 2nd to August 10th, 2012

We are pleased to offer early enrollment to currently enrolled students of MDSB so that you may set your child's summer dance schedule. Enrollment for the 2012 Summer Intensive Ballet Program will open as of February 15th. The summer intensive was sold out last year and we have a limited number of students we can accomodate. Please register early to guarantee your child's place. Other students can enroll at a later date if space is available.

The summer intensive is designed to rapidly advance students in ballet technique. Whether students aspire to dance professionally or just want to improve their skills in a friendly and supportive environment, the program provides the joy of dance without the pressure of the academic school year. All levels have daily stretch and technique classes and are grouped by Advanced (ages 13+), Intermediate (9-12), and Junior (6-8). While boys have a separate program during the academic year, they will be grouped together with girls during Summer Intensive. There are informal performance showcases every two weeks.

All applicants should enroll for a minimum of 2 weeks. Students from other schools must take a placement class before the summer intensive begins. Further details will be available shortly.

Magician NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCE

Thanks to everyone who participated in making our annual 2011 Nutcracker a grand success. Our four performances, which were held the weekend of December 10th and 11th at the Luckman Theatre, were extremely well received. A heartfelt thanks to all of our dedicated teachers, parents, volunteers, and especially to all of our students who worked so hard and danced so beautifully.

See you again next year at the Luckman Theatre for our 2012 performance!

Please make your tax deductible, charitable donation to the Marat Daukayev Ballet Theater.
