Reserve your place at our unique program! The MDSB Summer Intensive Program is designed to rapidly advance the serious student in technique and performance ability.  Class sizes are small and students receive individual attention and coaching at all levels.  The program is open to students of the school from ages 7 to 18 years old.  Applicants who are not students of the school are asked to take a placement class. (Please call the school for details).

The program offers classes in those dance forms most essential to students preparing for a professional career in ballet.  The program runs for six weeks and culminates in an Open Class Showing.  Students may take less than the full six weeks, but must attend at least the last four weeks if they wish to dance in the Open Class Showing.

Spring Registration 2010

We welcome all dancers to the Marat Daukayev School of Ballet. Our Spring semester has begun. Please check in the Classes page of this web site by going here.

Class registration will take place at the dance studio for new and on-going students. New students will take a placement test to determine which level is best. Tuition is determined by the number of days and hours per week your child is enrolled. The approximate class cost is $16.00. Our school runs by the semester and we do not offer classes on a ''per class' basis.

Auditions for our annual Nutcracker Ballet will be held on September 26th and 27th. Application forms will be available in September. Dancers are grouped according to age and/or experience level for the audition. Check back for specific audition times..

Our Annual Nutcracker Performance

Many thanks for attending our annual Nutcracker at the Japan America Theater. We presented four beautiful shows on December 13th and 14th. We are grateful for everyone who participated in the production, and we thank the audiences for showing their appreciation for this year's shows.

Throughout the year, our students work hard to acquire classical ballet technique. In performance, they have the chance to express their love of dance for a live audience. Sharing Nutcracker is an exceptional experience for participants and audience alike, performed by beginning students who are 3 yrs old up to our advanced dancers at 18 years old. This is a wonderful way to introduce your family to one of the most beloved classical ballets of all time.
