Spring Registration 2010

Our next semester begins the week of January 4, 2010. The schedules have been posted. Please check in the Classes page of this web site by going here.

All class registration will take place at the dance studio, as we are unable to enroll your student online.

Tuition is determined by the number of days and hours per week your child is enrolled. The approximate class cost is $16.00. Children are enrolled for the semester and not on a 'per class' basis.

Our Annual Nutcracker Performance

Many thanks for attending our annual Nutcracker at the Japan America Theater. We presented four beautiful shows on December 13th and 14th. We are grateful for everyone who participated in the production, and we thank the audiences for showing their appreciation for this year's shows.

Pleas check back soon to view the latest online photos, and for information on how to purchase your very own DVD of the show.

Throughout the year, our students work hard to acquire classical ballet technique. In performance, they have the chance to express their love of dance for a live audience. Sharing Nutcracker is an exceptional experience for participants and audience alike, performed by beginning students who are 3 yrs old up to our advanced dancers at 18 years old. This is a wonderful way to introduce your family to one of the most beloved classical ballets of all time.

Youth America Grand Prix 2010

Students competing in the 2010 Youth America Grand Prix Competition are now practicing their variations to compete on February 14th in Huntington Beach. Students will dance two variations, one classical variation and one contemporary piece. Dancers are grouped according to age level: Seniors (15-19 yrs old), Juniors (12-14 yrs old), Pre-Competitive (9–11 yrs old). Please come out to support our school!

Summer Intensive 2010 Program

The MDSB Summer Intensive Program is designed to rapidly advance the serious student in technique and performance ability.  Class sizes are small and students receive individual attention and coaching at all levels.  The program is open to students of the school from ages 7 to 18 years old.  Applicants who are not students of the school are asked to take a placement class. (Please call the school for details).

The program offers classes in those dance forms most essential to students preparing for a professional career in ballet.  The program runs for six weeks and culminates in an Open Class Showing.  Students may take less than the full six weeks, but must attend at least the last four weeks if they wish to dance in the Open Class Showing.
